HOOKS, Texas (KSLA) - On Friday, May 7, Hooks Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash just before 7 p.m. in the 800 block of Main Street.
The crash involved a Dodge Pickup and a Dodge Challenger. Both drivers were transported to local hospitals.
The driver of the Dodge Challenger, Curkoye McChester, of Texarkana, Texas, died shortly after arriving to the hospital.
The incident remains under investigation.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. - A crash on Interstate 5 in Douglas County Saturday afternoon left one man dead and a dog injured.
Oregon State Police said they got a call of a single vehicle crash on I5 northbound near milepost 160 around 3:30 p.m.
Preliminary investigation revealed a Dodge Pickup, driven by 60-year-old Matthew Wignall left the roadway, traveled through the brush, and down an embankment.

SAN ANGELO, TX – A pregnant woman driver was injured in a high speed crash on S. Chadbourne St. at FM-765 Thursday afternoon on rain slicked roads.
According to San Angelo Police Department Traffic Division investigating officer Long, the pregnant woman was driving a gray Nissan four door passenger car southbound on S. Chadbourne slowing down to turn left onto FM-765.
A white Dodge Pickup pulling a flat bed trailer was coming up behind the Nissan and crashed into it at high speed.

The crash spun the Nissan around and it landed facing north.
Duson Police recover stolen trailer, identify suspects in theft

Duson Police have identified suspects involved in the theft of a camper.
Police chief Kip Judice said Tuesday night that officers have recovered the camper. Arrests in the case are pending.
The bumper-pull Jay Feather Camper was stolen from 8827 Cameron Street on February 22 at about 4 a.m.
The camper was captured on surveillance cameras being pulled north on Richfield from Anderson.
The suspect vehicle was captured on surveillance and appears to be a green Dodge Pickup truck that was occupied by two white males.
Police Arrest Suspect Involved In Hit And Run Crash And Pursuit Involving Virginia State Police

(Rockville, MD) Suspect involved in a hit and run crash while crossing in to Maryland during a police pursuit involving the Virginia State Police has been arrested and charged.
The accused is identified as Shaquille N. Scott, 23, of Washington, D.C. Scott is charged with multiple firearms violations, motor vehicle theft, malicious destruction of property, and numerous traffic charges. Scott is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center.
Three vehicles were involved in the hit and run crash: a KIA SUV, a Dodge pickup truck and a Virginia State Police patrol car. The Virginia State trooper was uninjured in the crash.
