60-year-old Ashippun man dies in UTV crash in Dodge County
LEBANON - A 60-year-old man from rural Ashippun died in a UTV crash in Dodge County Saturday night.
Deputies responded to a report of a UTV rollover crash around 11 p.m. on Monroe Road near La Follette Road in the township of Lebanon. The UTV was headed northbound, went on the right shoulder, overturned in a marsh ditch next to the road, and the driver was ejected, according to the Dodge County Sheriff s Office.
The driver, Otto Abolins, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet or seatbelt, deputies said. Alcohol was involved in the crash.
