Edwin Isidro
Over the weekend, Edwin Isidro lost his life in an incident on the Mopan River in Benque Viejo del Carmen. He, along with several others, was in the area when a police and B.D.F. patrol approached. At least one shot was fired and there are reports that Isidro slipped into the river and died. Today, the police say that a post-mortem conducted by Doctor Loyden Ken classified the manner of death to be accidental and certified that the Bella Vista villager died due to asphyxia inhalation of fluids due to drowning.
