Friday 26 August saw postal workers in the Communication Workers Union strike nationwide for the first time since 2009. Over 1,000 picket lines were mounted across the country. Further strike are planned for 31 August and 8-9 September. With 115,000 workers, the strike is the largest of the “Hot Strike Summer” so far.
