This is the second night of protests following the shooting of an africanamerican man in charlotte. This is what it looked like, you see there, downtown charlotte, police with Tactical Gear using rubber bullets and tear gas. At one point this morning, the protests spilled on to a highway blocking traffic. Tuesday afternoon, Charlotte Police say 43yearold keith scott ignored officers demands to drop his gun. Multiple witnesses dispute the account saying scott had no gun. According to protests last night, the city police chief said that at least one person was shot. But Officials Say the gunshot was not fired by an officer. One witness describes seeing that victim. I dont know. They just shot somebody right in front of me. Theres blood. Theres a crowd of people. I dont know i dont know if hes dead. Police say the man who was shot is in Critical Condition. Right now, at first, an official report went out the man was dead but that was later corrected.
