Florida State quarterback Tate Rodemaker will not play in the Orange Bowl, a school spokesperson confirmed on Monday. Rodemaker participated in open practices leading up to the Christmas break. The Seminoles (13-0) are set to arrive in Fort Lauderdale later Monday to begin preparations for Georgia (12-1) in Saturday’s bowl game.
Not for Florida State players and coaches who were driven to earn a spot in the College Football Playoff and play for another title. The Seminoles had to settle for the Atlantic Coast Conference championship, which followed a perfect regular season. “Nobody can take that from us,” senior defensive back Jarrian Jones said.
