Nidhi Kukreja along with her family members met Deshmukh here on Wednesday. On January 2, the police arrested Shree Jodhankar (24) and Diya Padankar (19), both friends of the deceased, and have charged them for murder. They were arrested in connection with the death of a 19-year-old Janhvi Kukreja after a New Year party in Mumbai s Khar area.

The Khar building where the fight turned fatal MUMBAI: In the first murder registered in the city on the first day of 2021, a 19-year-old girl was found brutally beaten to death allegedly by her boyfriend and another teenager on the ground floor of a Khar (West) highrise early on Friday. The trio were at a 10th floor terrace party at Bhagwati Heights organised by some youngsters who reside there. Prima facie, police suspect a love triangle gone wrong. Jhanvi Kukreja, the victim, had been invited to the party along with the two suspects -Shree Jogdhankar (22) and Diya Padankar (19). The two have been detained, but no arrest had been made till late on Friday night. Police were in the process of questioning the 12 others who were at the party.
