The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Forestry recently awarded nearly $5.5 million in grants for 36 urban forestry projects across Ohio through the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) Urban Forestry Grant Program.
Fourteen rural Ohio school districts, and their corresponding counties and townships, will share more than $2.1 million from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Forestry’s Trees to Textbooks program which distributes revenue from the harvest of timber within Ohio’s state forests.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Forestry is urging Ohioans to learn about the state’s outdoor burning regulations and take precautions if they plan to burn debris this fall. Ohio law states that most outdoor debris burning is prohibited in unincorporated areas from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. during October and November (Ohio Revised Code 1503.18).
