West Virginia University’s annual Diversity Week kicked off Sunday with a lineup of more than 30 in-person and virtual events celebrating the different identities and experiences of the campus community.
The University began its week-long celebration of diverse cultures and backgrounds this weekend and has several more in-person and virtual opportunities planned for the week ahead sponsored by various academic units, departments and student organizations.
Shippensburg University celebrated Diversity Week from Sept. 26-Oct. 1, and to kick off the events, guest speaker and advocate for persons with disabilities, Theo Braddy, shared his story and advice on how students can combat racist and ableist stereotypes.

Emory will celebrate National Diversity Week Oct. 3-9 with daily events for students, faculty and staff. The entire Emory community can explore programs that address multiple aspects of identity, including ability, ethnicity, gender, race, religion and sexual orientation.
