THE Maldon District Royal Marine Cadets are looking to boost their numbers as we emerge from Covid restrictions. The charity is part of the Sea Cadets, which aims to give young people aged 10 to 18 a new perspective, broadened horizons and new possibilities. Working across the UK with 14,000 young people the Sea Cadets aim to help them build confidence through the challenge of nautical adventure and a Royal Navy ethos. And the Maldon and District detachment are looking to boost recruitment and offer their training programme to children aged 13 to 18. Through this programme they can learn new skills such as first aid, drill, fieldcraft, map reading, shooting and skill at arms.
