Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], May 8 (ANI): The health department workers in Indore including the District Health Officer resumed their duties on Friday after calling off their protest against the District Magistrate over his alleged ill-treatment. We have resolved our issue and have agreed to work together for the people of Indore, Indore District Magistrate Manish Singh said.
District Health Officer Dr Purnima Gadaria said the health department workers called off their protest after a discussion with the District Magistrate. Notably, Gadaria had resigned from her duty over the alleged misbehaviour by Singh in public. She had demanded the removal of Singh from his post.

Indore, Feb 17 : The Madhya Pradesh government has accelerated the efforts to make its business capital Indore a beggar-free city. Initiatives have also been adopted to ensure the rehabilitation of beggars and how people can contribute to the cause.
Indore District Magistrate Manish Singh held a meeting with officers on Tuesday for the rehabilitation of homeless people and beggars living in the city under the Beggars Rehabilitation Programme.
During the meeting, the District Magistrate said that a Beggar Rehabilitation Centre will be set up to make Indore a beggar-free city and proper arrangements will be made there for the persons involved in begging. The facilities will include health check-up, food, clothes, etc.
