with assaulting son JERSEY SHORE Tiadaghton Valley Regional police are investigating a report of a father assaulting his son. Daniel Fox, 33, of 409 Baer St., allegedly punched his son in the face, threw him onto the ground and repeatedly hit him, according to police. The incident took place at a Maple Street house where Fox was picking up his son. One of the residents of the home allegedly broke up the fight, police said. The son was taken to Geisinger Hospital in Jersey Shore for treatment of a laceration to the right ear that required stitches, as well as a right orbital fracture and multiple contusions.

Jersey Shore man charged with DUI Scott Powell, 56, of 414 Elm St., Jersey Shore, allegedly had a BAC of .253% after being pulled over for swerving across lanes of traffic on Allegheny Street Dec. 11 of 2020. Powell allegedly swerved into the opposite lane of traffic and cross the double yellow line on Allegheny Street before it drifted back onto the far-right side of the road before once more swerving into the opposing traffic lane. Powell allegedly swerved across the double yellow line twice and almost hit a parked car, according to Brandy Perchinski, a Tiadaughton Valley Police officer. When Perchinski stopped Powell, she allegedly smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming out of the car. Additionally, an empty Coors Light can sat in the front passenger seat, with an opened 30-pack of Coors Light in the back.

Wasson eyes Lyco district judge position | News, Sports, Jobs

Katelyn Wasson JERSEY SHORE Local business owner Katelyn Wasson has announced her intention to seek election to Magisterial District Judge in District 29-3-01. The position, which covers Jersey Shore Borough and most of western Lycoming County, is currently held by District Judge Jerry Lepley, who is retiring. Wasson, a registered Republican, will cross-file. A successful businesswoman, Wasson is General Manager for Wasson Auto Sales, and oversees her family’s residential real estate business. She also owns and operates KW Rentals, Clover Crown Boutique, an online retail business, and serves as a Finance Manager with Easy Loans, Inc. Wasson is a graduate of Lycoming College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Biology, and is also a graduate of Lock Haven University where she earned a degree in Criminal Justice. While at Lycoming College, she interned at SCI Muncy, a state correctional institution for adult female offenders.

MH man charged with assault WILLIAMSPORT William Shearer, 28, of 1825 Long Run Road, Mill Hall, allegedly struck his ex-girlfriend’s “current acquaintance” in the face several times on Christmas Eve, according to state police at Montoursville. Shearer did so when the alleged victim held his and his ex-girlfriend’s daughter, according to Trooper Patrick Kineston. District Judge Jerry Lepley sent Shearer a summons for charges of simple assault and harassment. Harassment SNOW SHOE A 63-year-old Frenchville, Pa. man was charged with harassment after an incident that occurred on Jan. 28 along Thomas Street in Snow Shoe, Centre County, state police at Rockview said.
