THE Denbigh and District Darts League has led the tributes to a ‘popular figure’ who died recently. Clwyd Davies was a familiar face within the local darts leagues, representing many a team down the years. Mr Davies has been described by many on social media as a ‘great character’. Leading the tributes on January 7, a statement on Denbigh and District Darts League’s Facebook page, read: “It’s with great sadness that we hear of the passing of Clwyd Davies. “Clwyd was a popular figure around the local darts leagues for many years representing the Star in Ruthin amongst others, and most recently he had represented The Wings club in the Denbigh & District league.
