State Auditor Shad White on Wednesday announced a former dispatcher for the Newton County Sheriff’s Office was arrested and charged with embezzlement/fraud in public office.
JACKSON, Miss . – Today State Auditor Shad White announced Henry Gruno has been convicted of embezzlement in Newton County Circuit Court. The case was prosecuted by District Attorney Steven Kilgore’s office in Judge Caleb May’s courtroom. The guilty plea and sentencing were recorded last month.
The former MS Veterans Affairs cemetery director in Newton County sentenced to 2 years in prison and ordered to repay $30,000.
