Show Transcript THE OFFICER EXCHANGED GUNFIRE. I HEARD THREE GUNSHOTS. I WAS SITTING IN MY BEDROOM AND HEARD THREE GUNSHOTS. WHEN I CAME OUT AND SEEN TWO MEN STANDING DOWN THERE. BRIAN: KATHY WHITE LIVES NEAR 3100 SOUTH 39TH STREET. AND THE NEXT THING I KNOW THERE WAS A WHOLE LOT OF POLICE COMING. BRIAN: SHE WAS HOME BEFORE 4:00 PM WHEN THE SUSPECT STOPPED, GOT OUT OF HIS CAR AND OPENED FIRE AT THE OFFICER. THERE ARE AT LEAST THREE SCENE OFFICERS SAY THIS ALL BEGAN EARLIER THIS MORNING WHEN THE SUSPECT WAS INVOLVED IN AT LEAST ONE HIT AND RUN IN WYANDOTTE COUNTY. KANSAS CITY, Mo. â The Johnson County District Attorney s Office announced Tuesday that a Kansas City, Kansas, police officer s use of deadly force in a December shooting that occurred over the county line was justified.
The investigation was completed by the Johnson County Officer Involved Shooting Team, and District Attorney Steve Howe found the shooting justified under Kansas law and said no charges will be filed against the officer.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. â An Overland Park police officer fatally shot a 17-year-old boy in 2018. 41 Action News is now suing the city to get a key report about the incident.
The lawsuit was filed Tuesday on the eve of the three-year anniversary of John Albersâ death.
Doorbell and dashcam video, which has been publicly released, show Officer Clayton Jenison pull his service revolver from his holster as the garage door opens at the Albers home and the teen begins to back out driving the family minivan.
