The district made the announcement on its Facebook page Tuesday night. District Administrator Matthew Shappell said the district has begun an investigation into the incident. The teacher’s name has not been released at this time. The district also contacted the student’s parents and is “taking steps to provide the appropriate support for the student involved.” A video shared with News 3 Now claiming to have been filmed at Poynette High School showed a teacher yelling at a student and saying he could still spread COVID-19 even though he was vaccinated. The teacher can be heard calling the student a “dink,” “jerk” and “dummy” throughout the video.
