should say, obviously, from the science community as well as from the white house, and with that, i should ask, was the white house caught off guard with this? well, the white house never presumed that this was a done deal. they didn t know what the fda s conclusion would be. they wanted to be prepared that if the fda did move forward and authorize, and if the cdc recommended the vaccine, that they would be ready to get it to families all across america. that s why they started working on the operations, working with states to make sure the distribution mechanisms were there, and people had, you know, would have the information they needed. but all of that was contingent on the fda and cdc moving forward, and if they decided not to, then the white house would hold on their plans. that was what they said from the outset, and it s what they continue to believe now. so, we ve got to be ready when those vaccines are authorized by the fda. unfortunately, that day is not today. won t be, u
