BUCHAREST (Romania), December 28 (SeeNews) - E-Distributie Muntenia, part of the Romanian arm of Italian energy group Enel, said on Monday it has invested 230 million lei ($58 million/47 million euro) in electricity grid upgrades in 2020.
The investments focused on the digitalisation and modernisation of equipment and electricity grids in Ilfov and Giurgiu counties, as well as in the capital Bucharest, E-Distributie Muntenia said in a press release.
In 2020, over 60 million lei were allocated to the upgrade of 110 KV lines and stations, 73 million lei to upgrades to medium and low voltage lines, 30 million lei were used to modernise supply points and secondary stations, while almost 40 million lei were allocated to new measuring equipment.
