The president tweeted over the weekend hes willing to shut down the government if he doesnt get the money for the wall and some bigtime immigration reforms. In the process, he may force Republican Leaders, thats his own party, and candidates into a fight they dont want to have, particularly with these midterm looming. But we know it is an issue that has been at the top of the president s agenda since he launched his campaign. Something he made clear again during his weekly address. We must enforce the rules against visa fraud, illegal overstay, Illegal Entry and other Immigration Violations and crimes, and crimes they are, believe me, crimes they are. The president is calling for several things. He wants at least billions more in funding for a border wall. He wants to end the policy of catch and release, which lets Asylum Seekers live in the United States until their cases are heard. And he wants to

I grew up in Little Burgundy, a neighbourhood with a Black population hailing from the Caribbean, Nova Scotia and the United States, bringing with them a wealth of talent and music. even though we can read with our own eyes the rough transcript that the white house itself released, and the quid pro quo is right there. the wrongdoing is right there in those ten little words. i would like you to do us a favor, though those words with kevin mccarthy, the minority leader of the house apparently was not familiar with. he didn t actually read the transcript. if you don t read the transcript, it s easy to conclude the president didn t do anything wrong. but if you read it, you know he did something deeply wrong. trump is trying to distract from that and issuing these bloodcurdling threats. it s this giant distraction machine so we don t focus on the actual evidence, which will lead inevitably to impeachment. yeah. you know, it s frustrating because you read the report, and you have to sit here and pretend that the folks who are denying what the report actually says, that there s actually some legitimacy to it when, as you said, if any objective-thinking person reads
