Yes, Halsey, the Baby in Your Womb Is a Mini-Human
Thursday, January 28, 2021 @ 8:35 AM
We normally would not associate Vanity Fair with the pro-life message, but the headline said it all: “Halsey Announces She s Pregnant: ‘I Love This Mini Human Already!’” Yes, that entity in this pop star’s belly is not a clump of tissue or a mass of cells. It is a human being, albeit a tiny one, a “someone,” not a “something.” Already Halsey feels a mother’s love.
Now, I must confess to ignorance in terms of knowing much about Halsey, but it’s clear that she is somebody big in the music industry. She has 23 million Instagram followers and her baby announcement garnered 5 million likes in the first 6 hours. And obviously, you need to be pretty popular to go by one name, as she does.
The Left Wants to Eliminate Competing Ideas
Tuesday, January 19, 2021 @ 8:40 AM
It was President Dwight Eisenhower who once wrote that “in a democracy debate is the breath of life.” Today, it seems as if the Left wants to snuff that breath out. Competing ideas must be censored and even canceled. Only PC groupthink will be tolerated.
Back in 2012, GLAAD, which originally stood for the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, launched its so-called “Commentator Accountability Project.”
It started with a list of 36 “anti-gay” commentators, people whom GLAAD urged the mainstream media to keep off the air. Why? The views of these commentators were considered dangerous and could hurt people. Plus, GLAAD alleged, they really weren’t expert in their fields.
The Pushback Against the Tyranny of Big Tech
Tuesday, January 12, 2021 @ 1:31 PM
If there’s one thing Americans love, it is freedom. And if there is one thing Americans are known for, it is being a freedom-loving, independent people. That’s why it is no surprise that some world leaders are aghast that Big Tech could ban for life the President of the United States. This is the encroaching tyranny of Big Tech. It
will be resisted.
Just consider what has happened within the last few days.
In the immediate aftermath of the storming of the Capitol, social media began banning or blocking or suspending the accounts of people like Steve Bannon, General Michael Flynn, and Sidney Powell.
From Gulag to Google
Friday, December 11, 2020 @ 7:48 AM
It is true that Google is not imprisoning dissenters in a vast network of prison camps, similar to what Alexander Solzhenitsyn described in
The Gulag Archipelago. But there is a good reason that retired NYU professor Michael Rectenwald titled his 2019 book
Google Archipelago: The Digital Gulag and the Simulation of Freedom. The powerful reach of the social media giants is frightening. It is with little exaggeration that the owners of Google (which includes YouTube) and Facebook and Twitter are called “the masters of the universe.” Their domination must be challenged – while it can be.
with hearings set to begin thursday on the radicalization of muslim america, some people are anxious, even angry. joining me from washington is akbar ahmed, distinguished author, former pakistani diplomat. and we re pleased to have you here, sir. when these hearings were announced you actually went to the committee and tried to steer the committee in a certain way or at least get them to open their eyes up to a different version of what you thought they were looking at. does that mean you think the hearings could be helpful? drew, for me this is a very important moment. it s a teaching moment for america. this is part of the great tradition of this great democracy. and i really hope that congressman peter king uses this
