Former Mumbai police officer Sachin Vaze has turned an approver in the case related to former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, with the approval of the CBI.
Dismissed Mumbai Police officer Sachin Waze on Wednesday filed an application in the Special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court to become an approver against other accused including former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in an alleged corruption case.
Sachin Waze told an inquiry commission that he had paid money to ex-Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh's associates on the latter's instructions, retracting his previous statements made to the probe panel.
Dismissed Mumbai Police officer Sachin Vaze told the Chandiwal Commission that he was harassed and humiliated and made to sign many documents while in the NIA custody.
