A driver on Nettleham Road in Lincoln suffered a medical episode behind the wheel, causing the road to be closed temporarily.
The road was closed between Wolsey Way junction and the A46 bypass roundabout at around 8.30am on Thursday morning.
Ambulances arrived to see to the man who had suffered a “medical episode”, while police helped with the temporary road closure.
The road has since been opened and the man has been taken to hospital, though it is unsure what his medical episode was.

Works to build a new roundabout at the A146/Lincoln Road Welton junction have been taking shape, as construction passes the halfway mark.
The project for the A46 Dunholme/Welton roundabout began in July, and since then plenty of work has taken place.
Almost all of the new roundabout has been constructed, along with its connections to the A46 near Dunholme and Welton.
The crest of the hill on the A46 towards Market Rasen has been lowered by two metres to improve visibility, after complaints that the road had become an accident hotspot.
Reflections
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic consuming our lives with disruption and stress since March, developers and councils have still been looking to build in our area.
There have been plenty of big developments this year, reinforcing how the county is ever expanding and modernising.
Here are the key developments that have been completed this year and ones which have been given the go-ahead for 2021.

Opened officially on December 19, the Lincoln Eastern Bypass cost Lincolnshire County Council £120 million to build, with part of the funding coming from central government.
The single carriageway bypass starts at a new roundabout on the A15 Sleaford Road and finishes at the A158 Wragby Road.
As 2019 draws to a close it is good to find time to reflect on what has been a busy and productive year and to look forward to what promises to be a great 2020.
During the last 12 months the council has provided quality local services – a record 95% of our housing tenants and 94% of broader residents said they were satisfied or very satisfied with what we do.
In May we delivered the Cabinet Office’s voter identification trial for local elections. Since then, the principal of Voter ID has been brought forward in the Queen’s Speech as potential legislation.
This was a big change for all of us but great work from the council teams meant an incredible 99.64% of voters arrived with the right ID and were able to vote. That’s what I call a job well done!

A great deal of collective strength has been required to get through this year, which has at many times felt tough and turbulent due to Coronavirus.
But before we close the book on 2020 – perhaps to put at the back of the shelf for a while – it’s important to reflect on how well we’ve all responded to its challenges.
The pandemic has held a mirror up to our actions as individuals and as communities.
Among the toughest questions it’s asked of us all has been “Will you step up to help others?”, and in our district and across Lincolnshire the answer has been a resounding “Yes”.
