Tributes paid to popular Grimsby taxi driver Disco Dave after cancer battle Taxi drivers will form a procession for his final farewell Updated (Image: Grimsby&Scunthorpe Media Group) A popular Grimsby taxi driver who created his own disco bus has sadly died after battling bowel cancer. Disco Dave Gaunt, 65, lost his two-year fight with the disease on Saturday, March 27. He died at Lindsey Lodge Hospice in Scunthorpe, with his family by his side. Taxi drivers from all over North East Lincolnshire will join a cortege to Grimsby Crematorium for a final farewell to him. His family say they have been comforted by the many tributes to the hard-working, popular driver.
