No sign that lawmakers are any closer to reaching a deal here. Those lawmakers are still getting paid despite the Government Shutdown but same cannot be said for the hundreds of thousands of government workers including military personnel who do not know when they will see their next paycheck. Both houses are back in session in a few hours and a new deal on the table but it looks like it has strong republican support ahead of tomorrow mornings vote.
