Mabalacat City continues to provide job, livelihood ops amid pandemic

Mabalacat City Information Officer Jose Aubrey Pelayo IV said the city is being supported by the provincial and national government for programs that will aid those who were displaced due to the pandemic.    “As part of the provincial government’s assistance to the city, a total of 1,412 Mabalaqueños already benefitted under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay para sa Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) program,” Pelayo said.    Under the national government, he added that another 651 beneficiaries were given emergency employment under the same program through the Department of Labor and Employment.    “Aside from the TUPAD program, the Capitol also provided livelihood assistance to 670 beneficiaries in the city, mostly composed of Nanay Community Workers. We are also fortunate to be provided aid by the Senate of the Philippines, which benefitted an additional 234 Mabalaqueños,” he said.
