Johannesburg - International Womenâs Day saw women in leadership positions at the 5th Annual Gender Equality, Wellness and Leadership Summit make a serious call to men, policymakers and business leaders to close the gender gap.
The Motsepe Foundation hosted the 5th Annual Gender Equality, Wellness and Leadership Summit at Sandton Convention Centre on Monday where there were panel discussions on holistic health, women in charge and youth perspectives. Theme of the summit was âHarnessing the role of women in the pandemic recoveryâ.
Calls for leaders to work harder in harnessing women’s leadership to ensure that they can become active participants in the post-Covid-19 economic recovery.

JOHANNESBURG - The Presidency has announced the late Minister Jackson Mthembu will be honoured with an Official Funeral Category 1 at his home in Emalahleni on Sunday.
A memorial service will also be held at the GCIS Auditorium in Hatfield, in Tshwane, on Saturday.
The minister in the Presidency passed away on Thursday due to COVID-19 complications.
In a statement, President Cyril Ramaphosa has requested that the national flag be flown at half-mast at every flag station in the country from Saturday morning until the evening of the day of the funeral.
