apartment building, 2515 carl mount drive. four people went to the hospital with smoke inhalation, their injuries considered nonlife threatening. some people leaped from the building and two people went to the hospital with ankle and other injuries from the jump. fire was coming out the deck in the back and lapping up to the third floor and around the corner to the other extending units so i think it was just people wanted to get out of the building as quick as they could. in the last hour a bus carried 22 residents to temporary shelter, as they left several fire engines remained lined up one after the other. we were asked to park a block away to make way for the fire departments on that residential street the fire equipment, investigators are looking into the cause of the fire this morning they don t know what that might be at this point but do say that the fact there were working smoke detectors helped the fact that everybody was able to get out. sharon chin live in bel
