Vicente Danao Jr. as the new head of the Directorial Staff, the fourth-highest position in the police force. Danao's promotion is part of the latest revamp in the PNP which took effect on Tuesday, replacing Lt. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia who rose to the PNP's third-highest position as deputy chief for operations. Meanwhile, Lt. Gen. Ephraim Israel Dickson was promoted as deputy chief for administration or the PNP's second-highest post, replacing Lt. Gen. Joselito Vera Cruz who is now on non-duty status ahead of his mandatory retirement on March 8. Dickson is also set to retire from the service on March 27. Danao, meanwhile, was replaced by Maj. Gen. Felipe Natividad as chief of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) while Brig. Gen. Patrick Villacorte took over Natividad's post as head of the Special Action Force. Brig. Gen.
