Liberty students, staff, and faculty were sent out into the community Saturday, before the end of the semester, to support their neighbors as part of the sixth Serve Lynchburg. This year, 1,289 student volunteers traveled to 93 different service locations .
The heart of Liberty University’s student body for serving the nations was on display Friday afternoon in the LaHaye Multipurpose Center as over 1,500 students showed up to pack over 270,000 meals for Ukrainian refugees. Over 8 million Ukrainians have.
Last week, from Jan. 2-8, Liberty University’s LU Serve Now program, in partnership with Samaritan’s Purse, sent a team of six students and two group leaders to Whatcom County, Wash., to assist families whose properties had been devastated by flooding.
