A new underground arts venue on Brighton seafront opened for the first time on Friday. Electric Arcade features two studio theatres and a cabaret stage, with owners hoping to put on a range of shows when lockdown rules are loosened further next month. However, for its initial opening, the venue s bar provided cocktails and more to punters sitting on its beachfront terrace in Madeira Drive, to the east of Brighton Palace Pier. When coronavirus restrictions have been eased further to allow live performances, the team has big plans to host live theatre, comedy, music and film to satisfy Brighton s discerning audiences .
