Five PH universities get P12M grants from US gov t

Published April 28, 2021, 3:29 PM Five universities from across the Philippines have been awarded approximately P12 million ($244,000) worth of grants from the United States government to support their research and innovation and help address the challenges of the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) pandemic. 6-Year Php1 Billion USAID initiative boosts digital payments infrastructure in the Philippines

MANILA,  Feb.  17   On February 16, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) marked the successful completion of its E-PESO project in the Philippines.  Over the past six years, the project has promoted broad-based economic growth and financial inclusion by significantly increasing the use of digital payments in the Philippines. MANILA, Jan. 29 Today, the U.S. government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), partnered with the Philippine government and other development partners to launch the second phase of the Measles-Rubella and Oral Polio Vaccine Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR OVP SIA). USAID Philippines Mission Director Lawrence Hardy II joined representatives from the Philippine government, including Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III, Cavite Rep. Luis Ferrer IV, and General Trias Mayor Antonio Ferrer to launch the national campaign at the General Trias City Medicare Hospital in Cavite.
