PNCA chief injured in road accident July 6, 2021 Islamabad: Director General Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), Dr Fouzia Saeed critically injured in road accident during an official tour to Balochistan. In a statement issued here on Monday, the PNCA said Dr Fouzia has been shifted to a hospital in Quetta, where she was recovering. It appealed to people to pray for her speedy recovery. The fatal accident took place on the Panjgur National Highway. She was on way to Gwadar from Quetta. Soon after accident, she was shifted to Panjgur hospital. Later, the doctors referred her to Quetta. Meanwhile, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Monday prayed for the early recovery of Dr Fauzia. In a tweet, the minister said his prayers and thoughts were with Dr Fauzia, who was an asset for Pakistan.

Rehman, an iconic Pakistani human rights defender and journalist, died after a brief illness on Monday, his family and friends said. He was 90. He died of old age, high sugar, and blood pressure level, according to Harris Khalique, secretary-general of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan. I.A. Rehman had been associated with the HRCP for a long time. He worked as an editor for various newspapers before joining the commission. He regularly contributed articles for Pakistani newspapers. I.A. Rehman was born in 1930 in Haryana in India. He was the author of three books and an advocate of peace between Pakistan and India.
