Belavia to launch flights to Russia s Samara, Yekaterinburg in May

MINSK, 27 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian air carrier Belavia will expand its route map in May, adding to it two new destinations in Russia: Samara and Yekaterinburg, BelTA learned from Belavia s press service.
Thanks to this, Belavia will operate regular flights to nine destinations in Russia and will have a total of 45 destinations in Russia on its route map.
Belavia will start operating the Minsk-Samara-Minsk flight from 5 May. The flight will be performed on Wednesdays, departing from Minsk at 00:15 and arriving at Kurumoch International Airport in Samara at 03:25. The return flight will take off on the same day at 04:25 and land in Minsk National Airport at 05:55. The time for the two airports is local. The flight time will be a little over two hours.
Belavia accepts delivery of Boeing 737-8
MINSK, 8 April (BelTA) – On 8 April, the Belarusian air carrier Belavia added a Boeing 737-8 to its fleet. The aircraft is the first out of five jets that will be delivered to Belavia in line with its agreement with the leasing company Air Lease Corporation (ALC) signed in July 2018, BelTA learned from Belavia s press service.
Boeing 737-8 jets are equipped with cost effective CFM LEAP-1B engines. Fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions are reduced by 16% in comparison with the previous generation 737. Fuel saving results in lower operational costs and smaller impact on the environment.
Belavia takes delivery of Embraer 195-E2 to celebrate its 25th anniversary
MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – A new Embraer 195-E2 landed at Minsk National Airport on 13 March. It is the second Embraer 195-E2 that has been added to the fleet of the Belarusian air carrier Belavia, BelTA learned from Belavia s website.
The aircraft stands out thanks to its unusual livery celebrating Belavia s 25th anniversary. It has the number 25 on the tail and Belavia s slogan in two languages (English and Russian) on the fuselage. Belavia and the leasing company AerCap Holdings N.V. signed the lease agreement on the supply of three jets of the new generation in February 2020. Two of them have already been delivered.
