Tadweer starts ops at newly-revamped compost plant in Abu Dhabi
, 28 days ago Abu Dhabi Waste Management Center (Tadweer) has announced the launch of operations at Liwa Compost Plant in Al Dhafra region of the emirate following a refurbishment to improve its production efficiency. With a capacity to produce 20,000 tonnes of compost annually, the facility recycles agricultural and animal waste generated by farms and ranches in Al Dhafra region and turns it to high-quality organic fertilizer that comply with the requirements of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE). The compost plant caters to the daily needs of municipal projects, farms and palm oases in Al Dhafra region, providing them with the required quantities of organic fertilizer, said the statement from Tadweer.
