Bucks County Playhouse Announces Free Outdoor Concert

On Saturday, May 1 Bucks County Playhouse will herald the arrival of spring with the unveiling of upgrades to its New Hope riverfront campus and a free Boat Concert at noon on the Delaware.
Producing Director Alexander Fraser invited the community to visit the Playhouse for the festivities, which includes the 12 Noon boat concert by singer Andrew Polec, as well as to experience the upgrades to the Playhouse s facilities, which includes the return of outdoor socially distanced dining and drinking options, a new seasonal menu at The Deck, tweaks to the Courtyard Bar and new landscape lighting.
Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope presents its popular storytelling series, “Word of Mouth,” at 7 p.m. Sunday, hosted by storyteller Michaela Murphy, Bucks County Playhouse’s education director.
It can be viewed free on Bucks County Playhouse’s Facebook page,TheaterBCP: website, bcptheater.org; as well as the YouTube channel BCPTheaterInfo.
Entitled, “Word of Mouth: Gifts,” the program will feature three highly acclaimed actors/storytellers beginning with Julie Halston, who just completed her role of Rita Marshall in the Broadway production of Tootsie.”
Returning to “Word of Mouth,” is National Public Radio’s, Ophira Eisenberg, known for her program, “Ask Me Another.” They will be joined on the program by Broadway/television/film husband and wife, Damian Young (“Ozark”) and Welker White (HBO’s “Bad Education.”)
