BATON ROUGE, La. - The Governorâs Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) has received notice that President Joseph R. Biden has ordered the federal share for Public Assistance related to Hurricane Laura, including direct federal assistance, to be increased to 90 percent of the total eligible costs, except for assistance previously authorized at 100 percent.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (TNN) - Governor Stitt announced on Wednesday the State of Oklahoma has requested a disaster declaration from the federal government due to the winter storm thatâs been causing widespread havoc across the state.
âYesterday President Biden pledged the federal governmentâs support for Oklahoma when we spoke by phone,â said Gov. Stitt. âI am now urging the President and his administration to act quickly and deliver on our request to help Oklahomans recover from this historic storm.â

Governor Greg Abbott today announced that the White House has issued a Federal Emergency Declaration for Texas in response to the severe winter weather throughout the state. The Governor submitted a request for this declaration on Saturday to assist the State in response to efforts related to the storm.
The Federal Emergency Declaration authorizes FEMA to provide emergency protective measures for mass care and sheltering and Direct Federal Assistance for all 254 counties in Texas.
