Dr Michelle Trotman, head of thoracic care at the Caura Hospital, says as Christmas shopping continues, she is disappointed that business owners are allowing overcrowding in their stores.
She was speaking at a press conference at the Diplomatic Centre in St Ann s on Wednesday afternoon.
While she commended the public on continuing to wear masks, she said, We have noticed in the health community, the base which we stand is beginning to shake. It is not crumbling, but it is shaking. Our 50 per cent capacity in business places is not being adhered to. It s what I have experienced and other members of the team have been experiencing. As we go out to these areas, they are crowded, and people aren t distancing.
