Man arrested following early morning gunshot and police chase in Prince George SHARE ON: (Files by Dione Wearmouth-MyPGNow) The Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a gunshot at the 1000 block of 6th Avenue at 5:21 am today (Tuesday). The caller stated the gunshot followed what sounded like a loud argument between a man and a woman. Police flooded the area and found a man and woman near the corner of 7th Avenue and Dominion Street, the man immediately dropped a bag and began running from the police. Following a quick foot pursuit, the male was arrested without further incident and after speaking with the woman, they determined she was uninjured.

COVID-19 cases seem to be on the decline SHARE ON: (Files by Dione Wearmouth-MyPGNow) BC’s daily COVID-19 case count continues to slope downwards as the province saw 697 new cases. That total includes 65 in Interior Health, and just 14 in Northern Health. This is the third consecutive day the province’s daily case count has been in the 600’s. There are now 7,161 active cases across the province, while 10,961 people are under active public health monitoring. Of the active cases, 486 individuals are currently hospitalized, 173 of whom are in ICU. One more person has died in BC as the provincial death toll is now 1,597.
