An 11-year-old Georgia boy jumped off a school bus and into a passing pickup truck in a desperate effort to get away from his bullies, his father claimed. The middle schooler leaped out of the right rear window as the bus came to a halt in a turn lane.

The boy jumped from the window of a school bus while it was stopped at a traffic signal in Walton County, GA, on Wednesday
He fled the vehicle after he was repeatedly bullied by older students
He was taken to hospital in Atlanta with a broken elbow and a concussion
His father, Dion Murphy, says officials at Youth Middle School in Loganville have done nothing to stop his son being bullied

The father of an 11-year-old boy who was injured when he jumped out of a school bus says his son was being bullied. Luckily, the bus was stopped in a turn lane when the boy decided to jump out the window on May 5. He landed on a passing pick-up truck but then fell off and onto the highway.
The boy, who was not identified, suffered a broken elbow and a concussion.

Dion Murphy, told
Murphy even met with school officials in March, but nothing was done to stop the bullying. After his son was injured, Murphy met with the school again, and they reviewed surveillance footage of numerous bullying incidents on the bus.
