SIBU: SiDYA (Sibu Diocesan Youth Apostolate) sincerely invites young people to venture upon a new practical way to observe the holiness of the season and to unwrap the gift of Jesus all the way to the Epiphany!
We will run this “3gifts” Christmas Project from Nov 29, 2020 - Jan 3, 2021 (Advent to Epiphany) This is an unwrapping Christmas project for the young people of the Diocese of Sibu, where one group consists of five youth, taking turn to pray, fast, and give alms for five weeks. Every day, there are four steps that they need to complete an action.
In order to prepare the three gifts ‘Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh’ to present to Baby Jesus on the day of Epiphany, everyone plays the character of the three Magi, by passing around a gift bag to one another. Each young person (Wiseman) is required to prepare and reflect for seven days before passing the bag to another youth (Wiseman).
