A grand jury in Tennessee has indicted two men on charges of first-degree murder in connection with the December killing of a Nashville nurse, originally from Butler County, court records show.
James Cowan, 28, and Devaunte Hill, 21, both face charges in the Dec. 3 shooting death of Caitlyn Kaufman, who graduated from Butler Area High School and, later, Clarion University.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. A third person has been arrested on Tuesday in connection with the death of a Nashville nurse while she was driving to work in December.
Metro Police charged 21-year-old Dimeneshia Carter with harboring a fugitive. Carter s arrest comes after the criminal homicide arrest of her boyfriend, 28-year-old James Cowan, for nurse Caitlyn Kaufman s death.
Carter was arrested on Tuesday night at a Hickory Hollow Place apartment complex.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â The girlfriend of one of the men accused in the murder of a Nashville nurse has now been arrested on charges of harboring a fugitive.
Metro police said 21-year-old Dimeneshia Carter was with James Cowan on Tuesday night when he was arrested. Police said the couple had been surveilled by undercover detectives and ATF agents and Carter was seen driving Cowan in a rental car from a motel to the apartment complex where he was arrested.
