In an election when San Antonio voters didn’t appear eager for change, reelecting their mayor and rejecting police reform, three members of the City Council nonetheless failed to gain enough votes to avoid runoffs.
The council members who did not win a majority of the vote and therefore must fight for reelection in a June 5 runoff are District 1 Councilman Roberto Treviño, District 2 Councilwoman Jada Andrews-Sullivan and District 9 Councilman John Courage.

As prices rise in San Antonio s Lavaca and Dignowity Hill areas, home buyers have looked for bargains in other near-downtown neighborhoods. And this property in Highland Park, just south of Interstate 10 and east of Interstate 37, seems to qualify as one of those bargains. On the market for $185,000, the three-bedroom, one-bath house has an uber-cute all-rock exterior, as do all of the other residences on its block. In addition to original hardwood floors, the property includes high ceilings, a sweeping archway between its living and dining areas and a kitchen with vintage cabinets and a breakfast nook. The home, built in 1930, also includes a two-car garage and wooden pergola over its backyard sitting area.
