Often crossed the threshold between the two communities and veterans got lost. Soldiers returning from the recent conflicts, many of them with visible disabilities remind us that the connection is there and veterans with disabilities are still members of the Disability Community and part of the struggle for equal rights and community integration. On a personal note im very happy that one of our councilmembers was able to organize the event for today because this is a special time to be able to connect the two communities.
