On The Last Word yesterday, Andrew McGinley, whose wife Deirdre Morley was found not guilty by reason of insanity last week of murdering their three children Conor, Darragh and Carla, made several criticisms of Deirdre’s treatment by the mental health services in Ireland.

Andrew spoke of how he and his family had believed in the weekend before she killed her children that Deirdre was getting better after a longstanding mental health problem. In fact, she was getting worse and was telling mental health practitioners that she was feeling overwhelmed.
