UNC program will study climate change in Ecuador, receives grant

This summer, four UNC undergraduate students will travel to Ecuador alongside Diego Riveros-Iregui, a professor of geography and co-director of the Center for Galapagos Studies, to conduct climate research in the Páramo, a region of the Andes Mountains.  These students will pair up with other students from Universidad San Francisco de Quito to analyze the findings.

Carolina wins grant for undergraduate climate change research in Ecuador - The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

With the funding, students at UNC-Chapel Hill and Universidad San Francisco de Quito will conduct climate change research over the course of a year. Four Carolina students will travel to Ecuador this summer to conduct field research in the Páramo.
