Killing zombies is the best part about
Black Ops Cold War’s mid-season update for Season One. New maps and modes were added on January 14, including a new large-scale Fireteam map, a standard 6v6 multiplayer mode called “Dropkick,” and a Cranked mode for Zombies.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies Firebase Z Story and Perks Revealed for 115 Day

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies gets Firebase Z on February 4, and a new blog post reveals what to expect from the map in terms of its story, perks and environment. The news arrives courtesy of Treyarch, who opted to use the post as a way to celebrate 115 Day.
As discussed in a blog post published on Wednesday, Firebase Z takes squads to another Dark Aether outbreak site officially referred to as Outpost 25. Those who ve been there, however, affectionately call it Firebase Z. After squads dealt with Poland s Dark Aether outbreak in the previous map known as Die Maschine, this new map is set in Vietnam with new perks, characters and a previously unseen Wonder Weapon.

Cranked changes all this by adding a timer, and once the first zombie hits the floor, the Cranked Timer starts ticking away.
Your Operator will explode if they fail to kill another zombie before the timer hits zero, and the timer gets shorter and shorter as the game progresses.
There is also a Cranked Timer Power-up, which temporarily freezes the timer for all players, as well as a ping system for gamers to use.
Another mode is also being updated in Zombies, but only for those gamers on PS4 and PS5.
Onslaught is a two-player Zombies experience which can be played across Black Ops Cold War’s Multiplayer maps.

It’s not 115 day yet, but Treyarch couldn’t wait to announce the new Zombies map coming to
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Firebase Z is a whole new map that will continue the story started in Die Maschine, and players won’t even have to wait until Season Two to play it. Firebase Z is coming as a free update on February 4th.
Following the events at the Projekt Endstation base in Die Maschine, focus shifts to a new Dark Aether outbreak site called Outpost 25, codenamed, of course, Firebase Z. Right now, Treyarch isn’t offering up much more in the way of details around the map besides the name and the screenshot above. Given the developer’s propesnity for secrets and Easter eggs left to be discovered by the player, this isn’t too surprising. However, there are a number of teases that have come from Treyarch’s social media channels, which you can see in the images below:
