A HIGH profile black police officer has lost her appeal against a conviction for a child abuse video on her phone.
In 2003, Novlett Robyn Williams was awarded the Queen’s Police Medal for distinguished service.
In November 2019, she was sentenced to 200 hours of community service for possessing an indecent image on her phone.
The 56-year-old had previously been well-regarded for her work after the Grenfell tower fire and Notting Hill Carnival.
Williams received the indecent video via Whatsapp from her older sister Jennifer Hodge aged 57, but denied seeing it. Her sister had been sent the video by her partner Dido Massivi, aged 63.
