shep, sally had 3-4 times more altitude than this gentleman had. there were only reports of saying it was 750 feet above the ground so was awesome is that they did what pilots are supposed to do. they didn t screw anything up. they landed straight ahead, they didn t get distracted by checklists or air traffic control. they didn t fully around with the landing gear, they just went straight ahead into that cornfield and made a perfect landing. this was a great day for aviation. shepard: it can t be easy to land on the service that you don t know what s there. actually, i think this was a little easier than what sally had to. this been done before preinternet area there was error mind that landed on the levee outside of louisiana but i never got any publicity because it was about three years ago in a 737. this has happened before but like i said, they didn t panic, they didn t stall the airplane and that s what makes it so wonderful is that they actually did what they were supposed to
