Simba SC head coach Didier Gomes says they are under no illusions over the challenge of Kaizer Chiefs in the CAF Champions League quarter-final.
Chiefs host the Tanzania Premier League champions in the first leg of their quarter-final showdown as underdogs after a dismal run of two wins in 15 DStv Premiership games.
However, Gomes says their resilience in the competition this season suggests the squad s focus has been away from the domestic scene after a historic campaign in Africa s elite club competition. You know we consider Kaizer Chiefs as a big team, we cannot underrate this team because we have organised a lot of video sessions with my players and we know very well that they can be very efficient, Gomes explained.

Simba SC have suffered a major blow ahead of their CAF Champions League quarter-final against Kaizer Chiefs, head coach Didier Gomes has admitted.
The Tanzanian Premier League champions were due to face their Dar es Salaam rivals Yanga SC on Saturday but the game was postponed in controversial fashion.
Initially, the match was scheduled to be played from 17:00 but was moved to 19:00 by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) which Yanga duly ignored.
The club stated that it went against league rulings and were the only side to pitch for the warm-up on the originally scheduled time while match officials and Simba weren t in attendance as fans flocked to the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
