Just after midnight on I-40 westbound at mile marker 181, deputies out assisting the Tennessee Highway Patrol on a prior crash saw an alleged drunk driver plow into the rear of a police cruiser.
A Tennessee woman is accused of giving a prisoner meth during a visit through a kiss and was charged with murder when the prisoner passed away, according to officials.
“Our agency will pursue prosecution against any individual who threatens the safety and security of our staff, the men and women in our custody, and our facilities,” said David Imhof, Director of TDOC’s Office of Investigation and Conduct.
The woman "was observed passing drugs to inmate Joshua Brown as the two exchanged a kiss during visitation," the Tennessee Department of Correction said.
During the visitation the pair were seen sharing a kiss in which Rachel Dollard, 33, passed Joshua Brown a balloon pellet containing half an ounce of meth, which he then swallowed.
